Alison has more than 30 years' senior experience in a wide range of property types. Her expertise encompasses all aspects of the financing, valuation, purchase and sale of commercial real estate.

Prior to founding Real Property Solutions in 2001, Alison spent 16 years of her career in a variety of institutional roles, culminating in ten years as Vice-President, Property Investments of a life insurance company. Alison is a Chartered Valuation Surveyor and an assessor of professional competence with the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors. Alison's career also includes:

  • Acquisitions, dispositions, and asset management for an equity real estate portfolio.
  • Roles on both the buy and the sell sides of a corporate sale.
  • Corporate secretary of a life insurance company for five years.

Alison brings to her work a unique combination of a high-level strategic vision and a practical, hands-on approach. Her quick grasp of an organization's priorities and challenges, and her deep and varied experience make her an ideal choice to work with investors seeking to optimize their portfolios.

Michael has more than 30 years’ experience in all aspects of commercial real estate. He has designed and executed effective active asset management strategies on a Canada wide basis for both debt and equity portfolios.

For the past 10 years Michael has been a senior underwriter with one of Canada's largest non-bank lenders, working in both Canada and the United States. Michael's career has ranged over the entire real estate field, including asset management, construction management, property acquisitions, fee appraisal, mortgage lending, underwriting and project management. Michael's experience has given him a unique ability to cut through to the key issues of a real estate problem, from both an equity and debt perspective. Michael is an accredited appraiser, AACI, with the Appraisal Institute of Canada, a Chartered Valuation Surveyor and an assessor of professional competence with the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.
